Oh how I wish I still had some rotted discs so people could see what rot really is.

Sorry I don't see rot on those videos, some glitches on the Lenox one but thats about it.

I do but I don't have a capture card.

At least one I could be sure still works. I got one from the 90s and I'm not even sure I ever found the freakin' software for it. :?

It is only first video with a problem... And it looks like laser rot for me.

The first one looks exactly like Laser rot to me. Its muted in both captures though, it "sparkles" more on a CRT in person.

This is awesome! A shame MJ would go on to destroy himself (and allegedly others) though. Kinda dampens my enthusiasm for an otherwise awesome video. Thanks for sharing though!

Those powder blue suits though that the band are wearing! I get visions of Homer Simpson at Prom, Tom Hanks in Big and Sexual Chocolate!!!!!

I have about 70 laserdiscs with music, and I use the video material from them to show how it is possible to remaster video with standard definition. Yes, I want to find people who will be interested to do remastering o restoration like that. I post here because all videos were captured from lasderdiscs, and I love the technology. I can not publish music videos or concerts because of copyright politics.

How are you capturing these? Are you using the Domsday Duplicator or analog capture? Is it direct capture or do you have devices in between? I am looking into restoring my Laserdiscs too and would like some advice.

It is direct capture from Laserdisc. I do restoration and remastering video to HD resolution.
