I just realized my Star Trek TOS collection is incomplete

Of the 42 discs, I have 41. I'm missing this guy:

But I do have this one:
Star Trek #106: The Cage: Disc #26 (1989) [LV 60040-99CE]

What are the differences between the two? Mine says remastered and full color. Did the first edition have black and white portions?

The original home video versions of "The Cage" were partly in black-&-white, because Paramount could not locate colour film elements for the portions of the pilot which were not cut into the two-part episode "The Menagerie". I can remember, dimly, the fanfare when the restored full-colour version was revealed.

Thanks publius. I suppose I may hunt the old version down for completeness' sake...or just forget about it.

That is why I dont collect anything big, you gotta have everything. I wanted the betty page disc, I want Titan AE and I am probably going to keep Iron Giant, lol. Though I do have a ton of neat horror. I like that stuff and have a difficult time parting with it.

Haha. Maybe a few years ago, but I'm not so much of a completist now.

Although, I did just buy a copy of "George Lucas, The Creative Impulse" for $8 on amazon because my Star Wars Definitive Collection was missing it.

There is more to it than just for being complete. The "old" version includes an introduction and closing with Gene Roddenberry that isn't on the "All Color" edition.

You can always check out my Star Trek LaserDisc web site http://www.blam1.com/StarTrek
