I'm looking at getting this set: Clint Eastwood Trilogy: Fistful/Few $/Good Bad Ugly [ML104531]

I already own these two:
For A Few Dollars More (1965) [ML102226]
Fistful of Dollars, A (1964) [ML101796]

Is the collection remastered, or is it just the above two plus The Good Bad and the Ugly all in one place?
(more specifically, I'm trying to avoid titles with aliasing issues which the two I already own have to a small degree)

The Good & Bad had a later/last pressing the other 2 in the boxset are the last ones made not newly remastered but the film stock used wasnt the best at the time they do look ok.

well you could always do it to verify what's been said ;)

Plus, they're pretty entertaining movies and you might get sucked in :D

Just re-watched these on DVD, and looked up the LD info again. I take it this was just a box packaging by MGM like the Connery Collection sets were for the Bond films. It looks as if going separately would be cheaper, plus the later edition of GBU is remastered, slightly fixed and features the cut scenes from the Italian version. I've wanted to hear these films in PCM mono for ages.
The original DVDs for all three look as if the LD master was used.

On the GBU laser the deleted scenes are not cut back into the movie they are on a seperate side & they are in italian the new dvd had Eastwood say his lines.

I noticed that when I borrowed the DVDs to make a comparison. It looks like Good, the Bad and the Ugly used the remastered LD transfer and the rest used the same older LD transfers.

GBU indeed resembles little more than a direct port of the remastered LD. In fact, I love it for this exact reason. The 161 minute cut I first saw and fell in love with, plus the other scenes in Italian mono. Top top it all off, it is 16:9 enhanced and the mono is actually 1.0! Fistful sadly has a giant white line on the left edge for the entire film on DVD. FAFDM seems to have the audio a bit off-sync.
I really need to get some of these on LD.
