Received my copy of Fifth Element from Japan today. Really pleased with cover condition. I would say it looks as good as it did when it was originally shipped by distributor. All the corners are perfect, no blemishes of any kind. Gatefold and 2 disc. Unfortunately it has JP subtitles. I fell in love with this cover the moment I saw it. The DVD and BD covers are pretty lame, probably because North American releases need to get the actors on there to sell movie tickets.

Anyway, there is another copy on eBay right now from same seller if anyone's interested. I can personally vouch for this seller, packaging was top notch, bubble wrap, cardboard sandwich, then outer LP mailer. You could throw it across the room and it'd be fine.

I think it's at 39.00 including shipping for the current auction. Mine went for 56.00 with 3 bids. My max bid was 60.00. I don't know how rare it is. I really just wanted the cover. This film deserved a better cover and it's only available in this JP LD. The seller must have a few of these, I saw one listed a month or two ago.

I picked this one up without the Obi strip for like 3 bucks. I too fell instantly in love with the cover art

Starting at $30.88, complete with the Obi strip and the photo-insert.
Three other LDDB shops are sporting copies as well if preferred.
Only offering as these are for purchase at an agreed price, not at auction.

I didn't take the photos, by the way, they're from the seller. I wish I had a bigger scanner, I'd try to take a good copy of it. It would make a nice desktop background. The Fifth Element is one of my favorite movies of all time. I would probably list it in my top five.

The Japanese gatefold cover and the artwork is a great collectors item.
I have two of these reserved, a new unopened and an 8/10 with OBI.

I lookforward to receiveing these at some stage during the next few months.
