For some time ago, I bought some LD's from a friend and two of them turned out to be possibly strangest editions of a movie on any kind of format known to man kind. The movie was Love on delivery, a Hong kong-comedy from 1994 starring Stephen Chow. What's so odd about it is that the movie is split up in two individual editions. So you have to buy both editions to get the full movie. It seems like the movie company decided to do it to prevent it from piracy (many stores bought one LD and made hundereds of VHS-copies of it) but I can't see how it would solve any problems. If they did this with this title they problably did it with many others too but I've never seen anything like it. Have you? Here's some pictures. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

These are indeed odd ones, dual disc movies placed in 2 single disc sleeves instead of gatefolder and splitted for sale as individual releases: Someone started another thread about them some time ago but the reason wasn't mentioned in there either. I have only one, Red to Kill, but apparently there's quite a lot of them out there. |
