Even though the "Walt Disney Christmas" LD was released round 1982, my copy was manufactured September 14, 1995.
95-991A2-01 I9140304
07-400B9-71 I9135758

Possibly it may have been a re-release with the 1984 FBI Warnings and "Walt Disney Home Video" logo instead of the early warnings and "Walt Disney Home Entertainment" logo.

"More Sport Goofy" 1983 LD has this:
168AS-A01 A5301 1A111285
KAME-2-A17 7D111737
The above one can't seem to give me the manufacturing date, but the bottom says it was July 11, 1988.

"The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Vol. 1" (1989) has these mint marks:
50-610A1-03 62F90588
50-610B1-04 63F90914
It tells me that it was manufactured September 1989, but it gives me September 62, 1989 on side 1 and September 63, 1989 on side 2. Those dates don't exist, but the volume was made in 1989.

"Disney's Sing Along Songs: Collection of All-Time Favorites" gives me these:
55-800A1-001 C0230082
55-800B1-001 C0230170
55-800C1-002 D0261103
07-400B1-058 D0190750
The first two sides say October 23, 1996. The video was really made in 1997.

6 is probably supposed to be 0.

This could be a manufacturing error since C is close to D.

My copy of "An American Tail (CAV)" was manufactured December 21, 1990:
50-162A1-14 21I20183
50-162B1-7 21I20184
50-162C1-12 21I20210

The blank side was manufactured January 21, 1991:
07-400B2-25 21A11619

And although Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck Cartoon Collection: Volume 1 was released in 1982, my copy was manufactured on December 3, 1989:
95-100A1-03 03G20136
95-100B1-04 03G20412

Volume 3 was released in 1983, but my copy was manufactured on December 4, 1989, and the blank side the next day:
95-484A1-04 04G20183
07-400B1-37 05G25779

I think we only have a high level of confidence for mint marks starting from year 1987, anything before might be wrong and the manufacturing encoding used in the same way for 2 different years.

A copy of "Ben and Me/Bongo" I just got has an earlier mint mark. The marks on the site right now says the guy's copy was manufactured October 8, 1992

Mine says side 1 was manufactured May 30, 1989:
97-456A1-06 30F51313
And side 2 May 23, 1989
97-456B1-01 23F50045

Hello!

I saw your update but, since the mint marks were just another iteration of Pioneer USA, I kept the one already listed.

However yours is interesting in that is shows a master of 6th generation (97-456A1-06) with an earlier pressing date?
That's a little strange.

Or

Someone just added the stampers to existing master marks without checking for consistency?

=> Asking the original submitter to double-check.

Or

Our understanding of master/pressing date is flawed...

I think 06 is stamper 6.

Mastering was the most expensive and time consuming part of manufacturing, so barring any issues there should be only one. From there, they can make a ton of stampers and replicate hundreds of thousands of sides. Some pure speculation as to why there could be 06 from 1989: a few stampers between 01 and 06 failed QA (Sony didn't have to worry about this.). Technidisc and 3M stored mothers/stampers (3M charged for this, not sure about Technidisc) so a repressing would not require remastering. I assume Pioneer did as well, so 01 could be available for a repressing. Not sure why they would store a "used" stamper though other than it being "tried and true".

Above might be a stretch, but I believe it is plausible. Of course we could also still be missing something here in regards to numbering. lonerangerface are you sure that is a 01 and not a 07? That would make more sense. Sometimes these serials are stamped quite poorly.

An 01 on side 2, yes.

This is what a second master looks like: Video Demo Disc (1996) [09-177]

An interesting point is the serials are clearly the result of stamping, but the reference and master identifiers look like they come from an earlier stage of manufacturing since they are always very clean. Since blank sides have very high trailing numbers, I'm quite sure at this point that this number is indeed stamper.
