The Never Say Die live video actually does have a DVD release, whereas the Spice Girls one hasn't got one already so I don't see one popping up anytime soon, so at least in that sense it provides more value. Thinking about picking up the Ace of Base LD too I spotted on discogs. The Black Sabbath one is kind of interesting since the whole thing was shot on tape and in mono, and the DVD is presented in 2.0 and 5.1. No idea if that 2.0 track is mono or stereo, but the 5.1 is definitely an artificial surround mix, and they're both probably in dolby digital while the LD is at least in LPCM...although being a live concert with poor fidelity to begin with I can't imagine that making much of a difference.

Got some juicy discs from right here on LDDB. First up, can't go wrong with a bit of Gloria Estefan! Next a slightly battered copy of Fantasia. This is the last known pressing with the full opening commentary. As we all know, Disney loves to mess with their stuff. A DTS edition of Mortal Kombat Annihilation! Still new and sealed because until I came along nobody was stupid enough to buy it. The Billingual edition of Cinderella. Another chance to flex my CLD-R7G LG capabilities! Last but not least, the main event. It's been on my wishlist since the Spring of 1937. Alien. Or, to give it's Friends episode title 'The One With The 70mm Soundtrack'. I've wanted this disc more than that time I needed to pinch a loaf on the train and the only lav was out of order and had no bog roll. Can't wait to see if the 70mm audio hype is worth it!

Ugh, I sold off a lot of Disney stuff on ebay and had that Cinderella in a lot, would have been a small fortune for shipping to you anyway. Let us know when you do a review of Alien, I've only ever had the first box set, my dad and I went to tower to buy it new Damn that was a waste of money if you think about it now. Anyway never upgraded due to cost as expected but would like to read about it.

Anyway never upgraded due to cost as expected but would like to read about it. Only problem with Fantasia is the box doesn't fit on my shelves! It's the size of a cricket pitch! I did give Alien a very quick spin earlier as I couldn't wait. Just a few minutes of the opening sequence. Of course my set up is very feeble compared to what other folks have, but it does sound absolutely VERITABLE, from the short snippet I heard. Very keen to see it in all it's glory, with each and every pit of analogue data on that disc lovingly massaged by the sultry hands of my R7G! I shall of course post some drivel once viewed if folks so wish to have a read.
