Star Wars Trilogy Definitive Collection with the making of trilogy. Japan laserdisc set.

I finally recently got my Temple of Doom disc in and its very beautiful the cover is immaculate. No corner dings, no scratches on the disc. Minor rot. Its the Korean release the seller said it was from 1993 and its CIC Video. Before the ultimate of Star Wars sets it was my crown jewel.

Pretty good. Only "complain" was when the kids were driving their bikes from background to Mulder and Scully it was all blur.

I tend to fall asleep at the end of Friday the 13th part 6 because of the darkness. I think the movie is a good movie for a horror comedy film but for some reason my eyes shut when it gets near the end of the movie with the last 10-5 mins of movie. I don't know what is causing my brain to do that but it happens often with this movie.

Phantasm Collectors Edition Widescreen $18.61 on an ebay Auction. Seller didn't make much money from it because a good portion of that was shipping cost. I think he kind of hinted he wasn't happy but he still did the right thing and shipped it off a couple days later. This laserdisc ranges from 50-60 bucks on ebay. If sellers are concerned about how much an item sells on an auction they probably should list the item a little higher so they get the least amount they want for something. Anyways I'm not the biggest Phantasm fan. Actually I consider it one of the weaker horror movies but it is one of the big 6's Texas Chainsaw Massacare, Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, Child's Play, and Phantasm. Those are probably the biggest or more popular known horror franchises from the 70's, 80s, and 90s. I have all these on laserdisc with the exception of Child's Play 1 which I already own the Scream Factory bluray of. I have Child's play 2, 3, and Bride of Chucky on laserdisc. I also share the same day of birth as Angus Scrimm aka tall man. I know he died back in Jan 2016 I believe.

I have not been able to test this laserdisc fully yet so I hope there's no serious issues with it since recently I got a laserdisc I had to send back that wasn't playing properly on any of my laserdisc players but it wasn't this film it was a different film. I did however put this in briefly in my CLD-99 composite hooked up to our TCL 65 inch tv and it looks beautiful for a widescreen release. It even looked slightly better with a line doubler but my line double started glitching because for whatever reason my line doubler does not like widscreen laserdiscs. My retrotink x2 pro only seems to work well with 4:3 aspect ratio content. Screen tearings happen with widescreen so that means I wouldn't watch widescreen releases with my line doubler. I have no idea why this happens since it's still technically 4:3 but in widescreen but for whatever reason retrotink x2 pro does not work with letterbox laserdiscs. Laserdisc still looks great even without the line doubler which would just take some of the some what noticeable line issues on a lower resolution out. I also haven't seen this movie in a long time so maybe I'll enjoy it more this time around. I didn't think it was terrible if my memory serves me correctly. I just thought it was more of an average Horror movie but I do know this has a cult following. Some people love the Phantasm franchise deeply.

I took a risk and bought Ghost Chase brand new when the previous copy I got had rot and I sent that copy back to the seller. The previous copy was open. I think sealed copies would be almost impossible to send back. I checked side B and it seems like there's no rot on this one. The previous copy I had rot near the ending of side A and most of Side B and was pretty unwatchable because both the picture and audio was cutting out. I wanted this movie in my collection so it could go with Night of the Creeps with the two cute couple.

Oh yeah I know this has a dvd or bluray release in german that looks really good but it's not possible to sync english audio up on that because the framerate is different than the English print of the film. I remember working on that project years ago and gave up on it because when I was trying to sync the audio up it would continue to go out of sync and I came to the conclusion it's impossible to sync English audio up to a Video source that has a different framerate. I believe it was a bluray release of this film. This movie also goes by the name Hollywood Monster.
