The automatized processing of the articles is frozen but the storage charges are virtually going up

How bizarre. Sorry to hear you are having a rubbish time of it with them. I'm in absolutely no way affiliated with them at all, making that absolutely clear, just I've used them for a good few years now (since they first started iirc) and never had an issue. I have found sometimes that they can be slow with an auction unblock request, or getting back to a message sent. But they've done everything I've asked of them in the past and always packed items really well. They did the photos of my CLD-R7G recently too, which granted was an extra ¥500 but that's mere pennies when you are about to spend a lot of money importing a Laserdisc player and want to check it arrived domestically as the seller described.

That's poor though if they offered you SAL, you paid for the shipping and then they didn't ship it out before SAL services were stopped due to the pandemic. Is that what happened? That's pretty awful and you would be well within your rights to put the blame on them for not getting your parcel shipped out to you on time if restrictions were not in place. If they couldn't fulfill the service then I would think the least they could do is store your parcel free of charge until SAL service resumes again and then ship it out to you. Failing that if they were offering SAL shipping after the service was ceased due to pandemic restrictions and didn't correct their website then that's their fault and I would have thought they would either a) allow you to store for free until SAL resumes again, or b) pay some or all of the difference for a different shipping option up to a certain cap (something fair, depending on weight etc). Or refund the difference in full if a cheaper option, e.g. Surface, was available to you.

It's not right at all and sounds like a bit of a mess. Wishing you the best and hope you get it straightened out. I'll certainly be watching them more carefully in future.

After two months of the four yes, they put without previous notify the money (sal shipment) back to their system wallet (not directly to my crédit card) and that same night began to rest from that total, the storage charges daily. Now i debt money to them and waiting the answers for my questions.

I think i have lost the articles and the money, if they dont put the solution on the table i wont move, no one more cent not even for a different (more expensive) shipping method. They apologized but man are you a japanese company? then do honor to that and complete the damn work as accorded!

Agree with you 100%, though it may be best to just suck it up and pay the extra shipping to get your goods and take the hit. Vote with your wallet afterwards. See if they will wipe off the storage fees as a goodwill gesture?

I found some information here that, although doesn't bode well for you, may prove useful. Good luck.

Just got this guy which is long overdue

Image

Wanted to see how the PCM soundtrack compared to the DD 5.1 remix of the quadrophonic sound on the DVD. The PCM is definitely an upgrade for the songs in the movie since those mostly don't have any incidental background noises.

Here is my final LD haul from Japan, due to costs and all other earthly issues this will be my last Japan haul.
Will still buy LDs from time to time if I find them on ebay but was happy to get some of these rare discs and some of these common ones.

Last set of pics, I'm embarrassed to say I never owned Black Magic before, I know the Zillion was released on DVD/Bluray combo but
really wanted this last one to complete my collection as I think even with cleaned up pic the LDs are stuff that the DVD's are missing
but it may be my TV.

Nothing special, but my last purchases were Mars Attacks (LBX/AC3) and a lot with True Lies (LBX/AC3/THX), T2 (LBX/SRD), Silence of the Lambs (Open-Matte/SRD/Digi-Pak), and Driving Miss Daisy (LBX/SRD).

I found a decent deal on the T2 anamorphic squeeze LD. I'm waiting for it to show up. I've always wanted at least one squeeze disc. It's probably not a night and day difference, but I've always been curious how they look on a modern set with the full LD resolution used.

I discovered that the video game shop near me had a small selection of laserdiscs in the back, so I picked up "Pioneer Laser Optics II" and "Star Trek the Next Generation: Conspiracy and the Neutral Zone" for $5 each.

It's so weird watching TNG season 1 episodes. They're so campy and everybody acts so different than they did later, especially Picard. I liked Conspiracy though, good episode as far as S1 goes!

Yeah but I found out after ordering that this non-THX release apparently isn't the greatest transfer. :(

I had Basic Instinct squeeze and it was soft on an R7G, you are really getting a squeezed disc to see what the format could have done
not for any PQ as every film in squeeze is on every other format.

I'd expect soft from pretty much any NTSC analog format, but supposedly this non-THX master is particularly blah. I heard that the THX version is cleaner.

The closest I've seen to DVD-like sharpness on an LD so far is probably The Matrix

I found a few LDs mixed in with the vinyl at the Goodwill today... Europa Europa, Salvador, and Color of Night. Not sure I'd ever watch any of these, but for $0.94+tax, it was hard to leave them behind. Also grabbed Avatar 3D (Panasonic Promo Pack-In, 3D only) and Life of Pi Blu-Rays for $2.92/ea.
