These arrived today. First is a disc that I don't think is on LDDB? All I know is that it is 3D and is called U-ROMAM. There is a printed sheet inside in Japanese. The label on the disc is plain white. There is a small Dymo style thermal label on one side that simply says RCH in red text. That's all I have on this disc sorry. Here are the set of four Mind Control discs I mentioned recently. Deleriously happy to have these after so long searching. One of these is not on LDDB I think. I am only missing one disc now to complete the set, possibly. Lastly someone here reminded me to order some parts for my CLD-D925. I got a cam plate and a new Pioneer badge. Also a reference disc. May as well get some genuine parts to keep as spares while I can.

Just a quick note on the U-ROMAM disc. It's definitely 3D. It's fairly impressive material. The disc does have some mint marks and other information. I will make sure to add it to LDDB later today.

It took over two weeks for my copy of Demonic Toys to show up. I was getting paranoid it was lost in mail. Thankfully it now here. I had to open up this sealed laserdisc and I did a great job at it. In the past I have done a sloppy job at it but this time I open a little spot with me nail then bent a clip to finish the rest. After I opened the sealed copy I tested it in my laserdisc player and it works great. No issues what so ever and the picture quality is pretty good. I'd compare it to the dvd. Also I am playing this on my lx-900 which might be helping the picture quality out even more so. I think Full Moon released some pretty nice looking laserdiscs video quality wise for laserdisc. They showed this format some love. My copy of Dollman vs Demonic Toys is pretty good video quality from what I remember too. Demonic Toys is a much better film than it's weird semi-sequel or whatever the heck you want to consider Dollman vs Demonic Toys. Edit: I meant to type semi-sequel. I don't know what I typed semi-sexual.

I've only looked at mercari a few times for other stuff and it always seems to be cheaper on ebay. Do you know if sales are higher, I'm always excited to sell off some of my junk for higher prices elsewhere than on ebay.

Maybe I'll find that Twin Peaks disc for non-obscene price.

Someone punted a box of stuff over from Japan today. First up is Duel. I got the 50th anniversary Blu recently, which is great. However over the years the audio effects have been fiddled with too much. This Laserdisc has the original mono track, untouched afaik. Regardless of if the original 1971 TV version or the later released theatrical version is your favourite, everyone loves Duel. Next is a VHS tape. F1 in 3D! I have never seen this before. It's very interesting as it comes with two pairs of 3D glasses. Yet it's not the traditional red/cyan glasses, these ones are black and clear. Very bizarre! Also the tape comes complete with a reg card but also another card called Scuderia Pony Canyon, which I assume refers to a Pony Canyon racing team. The card refers to a special Scuderia Pony Canyon Laserdisc. One to hunt down perhaps? I can't wait to see F1 in 3D! This is Svivdivkbdjvjdbbnlclmsn. It is a 3D film and comes complete with unused red/cyan glasses! I've seen this hovering around before from time to time but never got round to picking it up. Next is 1941. I already have the Signature Edition so don't really need this edition. It came bundled with Duel though. Last up is a film I've wanted to see since I saw it advertised in Look-In magazine way back in 1988. This is (or was, as I've now opened it) a sealed copy of Young Einstein. I.forget why I wanted the Japanese edition. It may be in it's native format? I forget. There's something about this release though that makes it worth getting over other editions if someone can remind me why! Also, it's not available on DVD or better. Well, it is on DVD but the transfer is really poor and apparently not a legit release? That makes the Laserdisc worth getting over the DVD for now imho.

Please fill us in (or perhaps just me ?!) on that one - you find some really interesting stuff. Thanks for your postings. Cheers
