Interesting find in a huge lot I went through the other day.

Side A mint marks are hard to read but Side B is 16-014B4-2 so I just assume the first few US pressings were stamped with this based on 1941 (1979) [16-014]

More info on Blam's page here about the US CLV pressing:

I don't think so. Should be the same master as the rest. Side B is fogged up pretty bad and will not play.

I have found some copies marked like this have the 2nd side covered like a dead side. This is at least the 5th copy of a US CLV pressing of "1941", and all of them have been within the last year. Prior to that, I had thought all copies were the blue MCA Videodisc label Japan pressing.

2nd side will play but lock up. Maybe just someone didn't do a good job of cleaning the dead side off at some point. I'll take another look. Top right jacket corner is clipped.

That is very interesting. I have certainly seen and/or have a "promotional use only" stamp but I have never seen that label on a copy of 1941. I have a lot of copies and they are all the blue MCA label like Blaine mentioned.
