So I just finished watching my film
Adventures of Kosuke Kindaichi, The (1979) [TLL 2092]Side A was 59:09 or give or take a few seconds.
I found the older topics:
What is the longest side on any Laserdisc?Long runtime per sideBut these are just talking about longest sides and not age, or most of the posts are for newer discs.
Blam posted about CAA65 CAA70 and I was wondering when this stuff was used for the longer discs.
I've read that discs before a certain time could only fit 45 or 50 minutes with digital etc,
This disc I have is an Analog audio only which I guess could fit more info if I remember correctly
but then again I've seen discs that were newer and I think I even posted like
Zombie - Dawn of the Dead: Perfect Collection (1978) [BELL-745]This set had very short sides considering the box was released in 1995, why would you have such a late disc with 45 minute sides??
I have older discs that had longer sides.
Anyway as I'm typing this I sort of remember the analog and digital audio making a difference but
my real question is what is the oldest longest side for a disc in CLV.
How much info could you fit on a single side for an older disc, is 59:+ normal for an analog pressed disc from around 1987 ????
