so you might want to check that out before you spend a fortune on a new system I see some references to Johnny Cash. I can't find the book listed and you said "something like" maybe find it and post the link.

i'm going to be at the gym again tomorrow, so the magazine should be there. it was an ad for the book to buy direct from the person. i should have taken it, i have another one and it's a fun read, but it's also crazy to see the $30,000 record player i guess it will make your crap 2 dollar thrift store record sound better so tomorrow, if you can wait

Well if I wanted to get into LP again I'd go for a Technics 1210 Mk II and they often go for £499.00 I'd be damn lucky to see one going with all the bells and whistles on it for (buy it now) £100.00 or a little over. Some turn tables can sale for silly high BS costs like above 30grand I could get a something of good build and quality for less "we all can" its those who think they can hear the difference well I guess it might be only a couple of db. and cartages for turntables alone can be in the $$$ £££ .

How did you acquire DTS CDs without the prints? What kind of movies do you have the CDs for? I find stuff like this to be very interesting I was a 35mm projectionist and later projection manager of the Century Rio 24 in Albuquerque, NM. So I had ample opprotunty to collect DTS-6 discs and the Trailer discs. I have discs from Jurassic Park to Titanic and Godzilla, H20, Armageddon, Deep Impact, etc. I left Century in 1999 to move to Kansas City and became an IMAX (actually iWerks) projectionist which used the DTS-P8 Special Venue 8-channel system or full-coat 35mm mag interlock with Dolby SR Noise Reduction. I have a 35mm print of Die Hard 3, but although it was released in all 3 digital sound formats, it was a dual print release, with SR-D/SDDS and SR-D/DTS prints -mine is the SDDS version. I have hundreds of 35mm teasers and trailers and policy snipes. I started collecting these discs about a year ago and it's been great fun. I'd love to find Godzilla and the Mortal Kombat ones. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that has some.
