This LaserDisc release was originally planned to by manufactured by Pioneer USA, but release was delayed by four weeks due to technical problems during manufacturing. The early copies were manufactured by Pioneer Japan, whereas the later copies were made by Pioneer USA once they recovered from their problems. |

I think the Laserdisc releases for all the TNG films were good. Nemesis of course never made it to laserdisc, the closest thing is an early DVD. I think i have 3 different First Contacts one Bilingual Japanese release, one English with Japanese subtitles. And the US Letterbox. All feature a very similar transfer. The ones i don't have are the US Pan and Scan for Generations, or the Hong Kong Pan and scan. Or the Pan and Scan US release for First Contact. Some of the Laserdisc masters were directly ported over to DVD. The first issue Star Trek VI, Generations, and Insurrection. All Letterbox non remastered versions. |
