Fists of Fury (Tang shan da xiong) (1971) [6122-85]

fun film but it's not one of bruce lee's best.
out of all his films i would have to say this is the weakest, possibly due to the director?

very strange scene in the second to last fight after the ice room, bruce kicks a man through
the wall and it leaves a man shaped hole, almost like the old bugs bunny cartoons

this version also has some cut scenes of violence, like the saw blade in the head.
it didn't bother me since it wasn't that great of a film.
the fights with bruce were great, a little more cut than his later films.

in the later films you could see the entire fight or more rather than extra amounts of cuts in the
fights so make it look more realistic.

the print was really bad, lots of damage. also seems like the transfer was really poor, the image
was really fuzzy from the transfer.

i have noticed that this might be a CBS/FOX issue of the time.
zardoz, aliens CAV box set a few others CBS/FOX that i have from this time also seem to look like this.

but the CBS/FOX return of the dragon had a better transfer.

overall the dubbing is normal for these films, it seems that about 1/2 of the voice actors
could be Pilipino, the boss has that accent in his voice.

if you like bruce lee and need to have all of his films on LD then you pretty much have to get this.
