Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man (1991) [ML102514]

wow, not much to say about this classic.
it's pan and scan from about 1.85 but it really feels like an open matte film until the end credits
that you can see they squeeze the image a little.

it's a shame that films like this aren't made anymore, one liners, squibs, action galore and crazy budget.

image is clear and has more of a video look, it's also shot very bright which a lot of films are not these days.
not that it's over lighted but just more natural light and more realistic than other films now.

You don't miss a lot with W/S films only tiny portion, but ever the less why it wasn't suited for letterbox widescreen release. I can only remember hearing about the film when it was released or the film review on BBC "Film 91".

So what's it about as it as Mickey Rourke in it. oh and Don Johnson "Miami Mice"

mickey rourke is Harley davidson, he comes into town after being away for years.
meets his old buddy Marlboro, they have an idea to rob a armored truck for money to pay off the old
hang out bar, but no money insted there is a new drug and they get attacked for stealing the drugs.

really fun film and worth the risk to own, i didn't watch it on my larger setup so i can't say if the audio is that great over the DVD.

it's only something that you should pickup cheap if you like these types of films like tango and cash etc.

"Okay lets do it" Tango & Cash is worth the Risk and Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man sounds like, I'd enjoy it. I'll take the Risk when I get around to it. Cheers rein-o.

Entertaining film.
And it's CC'ed (yeah!) which is pretty rare for an early 90's MGM release.
