O Lucky Man! (1973) [11249]

I wanted to watch something special for xmas... I just finished Midnight Express ,which made me choose Cat People(the connection of course being Giorgio Moroder as composer) I thought i had it categorized under horror,but it's not there. So instead i chose O lucky Man ,which i've been saving for the right occasion...this was definately it...there is a great blue movie sequence where a plump yesteryear p0rn actress acts as if she's sleeping as Santa comes down thechimney...they thankfully don't show the money shot,but I'm sure it was a White Xmas!!!

Excellent quirky film,with a signature Malcolm McDowell along with a stellar British cast playing double and triple roles...the film leaves you at the end with a lot to ponder...very cool integration of a live band led by Alan Price...

And to bring things full circle Peter Jeffreys who's also in Midnight Express!!! I was pretty impressed with myself that i recognized him as he looks so different in Express...it was actually the voice that identified him!!!

Technically nice transfer and sound.

Great screen shots!!! One big reason i prefer laserdisc...those b/w shots would look quite diffetent from dvd...or even blu-ray
