Turbulence (1997) [LD 91387-WS]

"Turbulence" flew into day its kinder of "psycho at 35,000 feet" (Ray Liotta) hacks up most of the flight crew and passengers with only a flight assistant left to fly the 747.

I saw this while back on youtube and been itching to buying it and saw it a low price late of last week and decided to buy it.

Laserdisc is nice and clean from a trusty seller.

Camera was set at various settings. Overall the picture quality of the film to video is good.

Image

Image

Image

Dolby Digital introduction of "neon city" always grabs the listeners attention!

Image

Image

I liked how the lighting was done with the open with the Christmas decorations.

Image

Image

Some camera shots was hard to capture, the lights on the car are a little bright but the actual image on the screen shows a bit more detail.

Image

Nice bit of off screen dialouge panning to stage right while the weather man, on the tv is centred.

Image

Stage right dialouge now centred. "yes, yes, I know there are too many pictures on this thread".

Image

Image

No, there are no whales in this film.

Image

Where's the booze?

Image

I like the out of focus shot of the Christmas lights glare within the frame.

Image

What is this switch here? That's the Dolby AC-3 switch, leave it on.

Image

I like films with 747 aircraft they look so cool.

Image

Image

Image

Image

With this film I suggest we leave "the seatbelt sign ON" its going to get bumpy.

Image

More out of focus glare Christmas lights, I like shots like this.

Image

Its the guy from "Lethal Weapon 2" I guess the Turkey meal disagreed with him?

Image

oh, no this is not good.

Image

Image

Auto-pilot set lets see what's happening down below?

Image

Image

Sit down the plane is pitching upwards.

Image

No the plane is pitching down, that's not good.

Image

Image

Image

Nice CRT projector.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

They have a Vulcan flying the 747?

Short video "f&*k the fbi"

Image

The 747 is going inverted!

Image

The LFE.1 track provided a nice rumble-track with a few kicks mixed that jolted the home cinema floor.

Image

One way of dealing with passengers that won't sit down.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Then you lock the passenger leg between the doors.

Image

I guess he didn't like the turkey roast too?

Image

Image

Preparing to land the 747.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Now the films become a comedy. "Look its a 747 approaching us"!

Image

Image

Image

Image

"It looks like a Ford".

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

"Here's Ray"!

Image

Image

Image

Nice visual effects by Richard Edlund's crew.
