Heat (1995) [14192]

HEAT (1996) directed by Michael Mann is an improved version of the L.A. Takedown (1986) that has similar story.

Image

"Don't let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you feel the heat around the corner."

Al Pacino and Robert De Niro collide on screen in the years one of many best action of 1995.

Rot status Possible candidate

Elliot Goldenthal score has some chilliness in parts of the film and some kinder of spiritual feeling least to me.

For LD picture gets a fair

Chapter content is nicely spread across the three sides.

Start HEAT up.

Cool sound positing across the LCR stage with Neil's elbow knocking the switch on the door on stage right and the doors opening and clucking on stage left and right gives the scene a coolness.

Helicopters swoop around and reflect of the surrounding skyscrapers sounds really cool.

Waingro deals with Roger Van Zant to sell out Neil's crew. The score has misty chill to it and sounds cool faintly in the background.

"Force Marker" soundtrack sounds great when Neil and his crew walk into the bank.

Some cool camera angles looking across the floor as Neil scopes out the bank.

Batteries charging up. more to come later.

Side 2, Chapter 14, time 51.39 The first few seconds when Chris Shiherlis opens fires on the cops standing across the road from him, I noticed the Laserdisc Dolby AC-3 is puncher many higher db more than the region 1 DVD of the same scene.

One of those movies
I love the gunfight scene.
The Magic between DeNiro and Pacino is also a pleasure
