pictures were done fast last night, using the projector and an LD-S1
which is an early player for still imags on CLV but playback is one of the best i've seen, and removes any of the image issues that you see below.
film has reel change dots and after watching this i feel its an open matte.

what a wild and crazy film, loosely based on Song of the South.
film has brother rabbit, brother bear and brother fox who leave the south to go to Harlem.

Blows away the dvd

I was able to grab this LD off of Ebay not too long ago. Had a $20 buy it now price, so I jumped on it.

I'll get around to watching it and seeing how offensive it is.

I happened to catch this (as "Coonskin") at the Alamo Drafthouse here on a $1 "35mm Roulette" screening. "35mm Roulette" being screenings where you go in blind, with the understanding that the print might be a little old, etc. I was quite impressed; especially because I already had a chance to see Bakshi's "Wizards" in a previous "35mm Roulette" screening. I certainly would like to come across a copy of the LD; I wonder what prompted the title change.
