Père Noël est une ordure, Le (1982) [VD 119] Of all the French comedy films, this one is probably the most loved and well known. The transfer is quite nice for a film of this vintage (1982). The story is completely ridiculous but so well-done that you are immediately drawn into it....somewhat like a Monty Python film really. The video transfer, like I said, is very nice with only the slightest of chroma noise, but excellent by PAL standards! The sound is typical from a film of this vintage, but no problems there either and quite nice. If you are a French speaker then you already know this classic title. If you are not and do speak French, it would be worth your while to have a look at this true French comedy classic given true justice on the laserdisc format! |
