Laserdisc CAV - 2 sides 55 min.
Stereo CX - Emotion publisher

2 short trailers :
Minky Momo La ronde in my dream
Creami vs Minky ova

Master tape : type C or Betacam sp ( not a D-2 digital)
true analog picture with the natural unsaturated colors, grain and softness you like. 0ire blacks.
The stereo sound is correct,no digital tracks.

Laservision release

It is a very enjoyable relaxed movie that ends the TV series where our group of friends get the budget to film a scifi movie starred by creami ...recomended.

How do you know, can you just see this or is this due to age of the disc, before the other technology?
Thanks for the pics on this one, mami isn't really for me but it looks great

I tried get the dvds that anime sol had but only manage to get the first 2 sets. I tried watching this a long time ago when i did torrents and liked it but now I just don't care (seems to happen to a lot of stuff) . i think it might be too long.

xtempo....yes the tv series is long, i watched the two or three first episodes and went directly to this movie which is superior to the other ovas in every aspect.

rein-o....true there is no way to "officially certify" it unless documented on the disc but all the old Laservision releases i have look like i prefer and clearly different from the "digitally transferred" ones that have a very obvious renderized picture.

I would say that for me watching a Laservision/Discovision disc is like watching the original broadcast on its day and i love it.

Can't agree more with that, some early LDs look great due to early mastering, may not be the best mastering but some are so raw
that they are direct from whatever source was available.
Some are also very bad due to poor source material, not bad but not great like others.

I think substance said it was due to being improperly mastered from tape? That gave an issue with shadows.
Those are the most disappointing to me.

agree, for sure some Discovision and early Laservision discs received Umatic and unstable Betacam tapes as master tapes or even a fast no caring low cost mastering procedure so a bit of washed out contrast or off focus image can be seen.
