I've been waiting forever for the Nozomi blu-rays of Dirty Pair to get a retail US release.

I've had the Japanese set the limited edition one for years. Other than some of the grain management it's one of the best box sets I've ever owned. Sure no English subtitles or Dub.

I think at this point I'll hold onto my Japanese set and keep my old Nozomi DVDS. Whatever price they are going to charge is not worth it for the show to be dubbed.

I also have the laserdisc box set. Its Dirty Pair's big payoff?

Did you back the KS for Nozomi Dirty Pair bluray? I got my copy about 5 months ago but not had a chance to watch it yet.

I did not, I was expecting a retail release that was promised or the ability to do a slacker backer like Robert Woodhead used to do after his Kickstarters. Oh Well I still have the Japanese set which is one of the best sets I've ever purchased just no English subtitles or dubbing.

The whole Crunchyroll situation is less than to be desired. I'm not paying those eBay prices for broken up sets. If A retail release happened, I'd likely only pick up the features/OVA movies. TV series.

I do have Flash in the Japanese set but its a series I never cared for. I like Project Eden, Affair on Nolandia, Flight 005 Conspiracy the original TV, plus the OVA series.

It's the one series I don't have on Laserdisc. I don't even have a VHS of those.

Yeah…Flash certainly wasn’t the worst reboot of the 90s but it’s not something anyone needs to actually ever watch. Put it in the same bin as the Bubblegum Crisis TV series and Orgus 2. :)

I love the Original Orguss. I haven't seen Orguss 02. Through the years I've seen the DVD in shops and cheap all over the place but never picked it up.

As for Bubblegum Crisis 2040. I saw that and watched about half of it and never finished it. Is it bad no, does it leave a lasting impression not at all. I like the old Artmic, Kenichi Sonoda designs.

A lot of those 1990s remakes were kind of vanilla, nothing but filler. My least favorite is either Project A-ko uncivil wars or Gall force the revolution.

Oh yeah…those grey side/blue side A-ko OVAs were not great. I’m not sure who those were even for.

Bartender: Glass of God. It's a kinda corny slice of life anime about a bartender. It's chill though, and makes you thirsty.

Mushi-shi: A traveling mushishi master goes around solving essentially paranormal activities. It's a bit creepy but it's also chill.

Mushi-shi was absolutely brilliant, I loved the story where he meets that guy that tries to "catch the rainbow", should re-watch one of these days.

I myself watched " City Hunter the Movie: Angel Dust (2023) ", was nice to see Mokkori Man in action again.

What a timing!

I saw that one in the theaters in Japan back in 2023 and was wondering when the sequel (since the ending begs for another movie) and...

... not what I expected, NETFLIX is announcing a CITY HUNTER 2 live film instead.

https://variety.com/2026/tv/news/suzuki-ryohei-morita-misato-city-hunter-2-netflix-1236698992/

Now... does Netflix's ONE PIECE live show count as anime? I really like it!

Is the greatness of a Blu-ray player measured in kilograms?

Christ that thing is a beast, looks amazing but my 4k player is like, 1/20th of the size and fits snug on top of my LD player so I'll stick with that.

I watched two films from the Seven Dogs war set.

I wish I had the CAV reissue of those Urusei Yatsura films but well I have these CLV of the letterbox masters. Perhaps Patlabor the movie next or Angel's Egg.
I also have the late issue Bubblegum Crisis and the first perfect edition of space battleship Yamato to look forward to.

Maybe the Tenchi Muyo THX box again. The Gall Force Collection. Memorial Box. Yamato II tv series. Megazone 23 box.

It Isn't. This was One of the Primary Reasons why Japan Ultimately Failed at High Definition Home Video...
