So, the other day a copy of my Gekiganger 3 LD arrived from Japan.
It played fine until the end of the disc were it suddenly stops. I took out the disc, and it looked OK.
However, as I wanted to watch the movie until the end I now bought a new, unopened, LD from Yahoo Auction. It arrived a few weeks ago.

Now, here comes the strange thing - it stops at almost the exact place as my first disc!

Is there a chance that there is some kind of problem with this release...?
I tried playing some other discs from my collection and they played fine, so there shouldn't be any problems with my LD-player.

I’ve never heard of a defective copy of that release.

What do you mean by “suddenly stops” at the end of the movie. Isn’t that what all LDs do?

Yes, I have Ghost in the Shell on CAV (Ghost in the Shell: Premium Box (1995) [BEAL-921]).

What brand player and model do you have? Also, approximately how many min and sec are left before it stops unexpectedly?
