I found a lot with masters volume 1-8 and macros volume 1-5. They seem to be mint condition and few of them sealed. I paid $35 shipped to all of them. Later next month I will buy vol 9 and macross vol 6 to complete the set. I should probably get the sentinels 2 disc.
Looks like there are new dvd sets released in 2011. You can buy in three seperate sets or all in one box(not adv). Each set is $20-$30 and complete set is $45 on amazon.
I have question. So these sets are 3 seperate seasons. Each one named first war, second war, third war. Do they have a conclusion for each set? Or is it one big story I have to see all 3 seasons for an ending?

Well, they are actually 3 separate shows that were dubbed and edited in the US to create one series. I have not seen the last saga, but the first two do have their own conclusions. The second saga takes place about 20 years after the first and follows the children of some characters from the first saga. I'm pretty sure that's how they chunked em up on the DVD versions.

I received Robotech LDs today. I am pretty impressed by the picture quality. Each Volume has different cover art and they are beautiful.

i remember reading a review on the first part of the robotech series on LD
the way it was mastered they didn't removed the black dead space where the commercial would go on one episode.
nothing missing with the episode just about 2 minutes of black.

Substance: Glad to hear your discs made it. You'll enjoy the series. I was surprised how much I got into it. My wife got mad at me because by the middle of the series, every time Minmei came on the screen, I'd yell "dingbat" or "bimbo."

Rein-o: Glad it wasn't on my discs. Could've been another pressing.

I couldn't stand Minmay until I watched Do You Remember Love. They actually made her likable in there but from years of watching and re-watching Macross TV/Robotech I just can't help but prefer Misa/Lisa. On that note somewhere in the main between yesasia's warehouse and here is my blu-ray collectors edition of DYRL.... ah I can't wait. I have a worn out old copy of the Kiseki Films VHS (that was bad quality by VHS standards even when it was new) that I've watched so many times it shouldn't even matter that the blu-ray has no subtitles. This thread is making me want to throw on the Robotech LDs while I play some harvest moon or something. Such a great show even with Minmay messing everything up. Haha.
