So, today I finally received the "English Language Version" of Castle of Cagliostro TLL-2473. I had been keeping my eye open for this disc for the past four years with no viable hits when it finally popped up on ebay two weeks ago. I can't wait to watch it, then watch it again following the included script.

Anyone else have any elusive discs?

i guess the last disc that i have been on the search for was Beau geste [NALA-10055]
didn't bid on one about 8 years ago, possibly longer?
but just found it about 2 months ago.
also Tetsuwan Atom Astroboy: Limited Deluxe Edition (1963) [SF220-1700]
wanted this since 1990 and just found it about 4 months ago, thanks to all who posted it when it was on the bay

but now i just pick up stuff that i passed on years ago and figure, why not ;)

There are a bunch of them, but most are available to me if I want to pay the cash. I'd love all the Gatachman sets, Brave Raideen, Ghibi ga Ippai, and of course the Daicon opening. All of these I could have bought if only I had the cash.

One disc however that I have NEVER seen for sale is called Goddamn, its a two episode OVA based on a manga about rally drivers.

I have a picture of it:

I'm not sure if both eps are on one LD or not. I know the tapes were separate. I'm pretty sure its not that great, but not being able to have it makes me WANT IT SO BAD.

I'm sure I'll get it eventually. It took me a long time to find both Choujin R discs, but now I have them.

Can't really think of too many anime titles I am "longing" for.

Though now that you've pointed it out, I wouldn't mind finding that Cagliostro LD as well!

I finally sucked up an bought the 3 boxed sets with galaxy express 999 Galaxy Express 999: vol.1 Megalopolis Box [LSTD01211]. reason why I havent until now was mostly becouse it felt in my wallet to buy almost 30 discs with a series that I cant watch becouse I dont understand japanese.

But 3 weeks ago when I was walking in a record store in japan they had all 3 boxes with the original outer boxes, and with obis still intact. if that aint faith I dont know what is. So 125 euro + expensive shipping on these babies I finally have them in my collection.

I watched these as a child, they released them in swedish dubs, think of what a chock it was for me when I relized that there were over 100 episodes instead of the 5 episodes with a total of 420 minutes released in sweden =) Oh I so want to learn Japanese =/

999 changed my view on life in many ways.

Also I wanted the Cyborg 009 for a long time aswell, but those I already got since a year back.

I desperately want the American LaserDisc release of "End Of Days" since it was MCA's last LaserDisc release in the US. And a perfect title as the last release. also the Criterion LaserDisc of Armageddon, another last release with the perfect title. I have the DVD of Armageddon and it has more features than the LaserDisc, but I'd love to have it. My problem with both titles? I'm not willing to spend more than $20 bucks each for them since they are on DVD with superior picture and sound.

What was the last Paramount release that had AC-3 before they dropped it on their discs? I have 2 copies each of Sleepy Hollow and Bringing Out The Dead on LaserDisc, and their superior DVD versions. So I want other final American titles - and ate stuff like Trog and the AC-3 discs of GWTW and A Star Is Born. But again, im not willing to spend more than $20 each.

I finally got the CAV pressing of Dick Tracy - it was made by 3M and what a grainy mess it is with squiggly beats visible in highly saturated colors due to interactions between the chroma and FM and Digital Sound carriers. The CLV 3M pressing actually looks better. And the DVD is jaw dropping.

Having not been collecting laserdiscs for that long I haven't really had time to be longing for any discs too much. I'd love to find a copy of the US release of You're Under Arrest Vol. 2 though. I have Vol. 1, the 4 Japanese OVA discs and all the Japanese TV series discs (and all the DVDs and VHS released in the US, I love YUA) but just can't find Vol. 2. The LDs look much nicer than the DVDs and the dub is great.

I did too, and I asked him to pull out and check the condition, but he never got back to me on that.

Really? I bought some of his unlisted stock earlier this month and when I emailed him he responded the same day...perhaps try emailing him again?
