Were you dressed up as either Panda Genma from Ranma 1/2, or Sailor Moon? If so, I got my picture taken with you.

So, I've got a convention question. The only con I've been to was Anime Iowa in 2001. It was small but had 3 screening rooms. I've been looking at some small cons in KC and St. Louis, but none say anything about screening rooms. Do cons still actually show anime, or are they more vendors, cosplay, and voice actors?

Of course! My last trip to anime boston included watching Gundam Unicorn(meh) Redline(awesome) and a few good oldies for kicks!

Screening rooms? You betcha!
In Dallas, A-Kon does a smaller number of big rooms, AnimeFest does more smaller ones. I run an LD-based Classic Anime show at the former. 12 hours of material which is nostalgic for the long-time fans, & new to the newer ones.

Yeah, they do screen anime. Granted I haven't actually sat down in any for a while now, but I can't name a con that doesn't.

Thanks for the replies. I figure if they had screening rooms, they would list them on the website, but maybe not. Or I'm just looking at the wrong cons :)
