so, who else here is a fan of Fujishima-sensei's masterpiece?

i have a small collection, centered around the 2005/2006 T.V. series which i absolutely adore.
i have yet to see or own the 1993 OAV series, so i need to do myself a favor someday soon
and procure it on LD and/or DVD.

i have the movie on DVD and have the VHS boxst. I wish I could get the other ones

i've got the PIONEER release of the movie as well, i just forgot to include it in the photo. i guess i was lucky to get the T.V. season sets when i did,
both from WORST BUY, back when that sad, sad state of affairs actually boasted a halfway respectable Anime section. those were the days.


and BTW, boy was LABYRINTH an awesome film, i've got it on DVD and BD. Connelly was so Adorable then...

An amazingly talented artist that makes some astonishingly boring stuff. He's much better off when he's more of a hired hand than a series creator. Ex-Driver should be my dream OVA, it ticks nearly all the boxes, but I'm not sure I made it to the end without falling asleep. I need more than pretty pictures. I can only get so excited by images of girls in their underwear slathering their speech with as many honorifics as possible and bowing like a toy drinking bird. I was too old for that 20 years ago.

I'd have to say the best thing he ever worked on was Sakura Wars 3. They use his designs, don't put him in charge of anything else. It's not that I don't respect his talent, I certainky do, I'd say the same thing about Hal Mikimoto, who I respect totally.

finally got her hair in some semblance of order. straight out of her box, it was a real mess.
definitely higher maintenance than the hollow vinyl molded hair of my Mikuru-chan. Belldandy's such an Angel♥ she makes it all more than worth the trouble.

just in case anyone might not have been aware of it, Belldandy is literally a Goddess, loosely based upon a spiritual entity from ancient Norse mythology;

AMG could've been good, but Fujishima took it too long and now only die-hard fans remain that love the series. I loved the 90s OVA's as well as the movie and the both tv series, but the modern OVA's weren't that good, I could even say that they were terrible. As for the manga, you can really see how Fujishima's artwork had changed over those almost three decades. I have a few artbooks with his designs (Sakura Taisen, eX-Driver) that I really like. I also liked his designs for the "Tales of" game series.
