OK just found this by accident, I guess I'm not as much of an Otaku as I thought. It was mentioned in another topic about getting a good playing copy. Twinkle Nora Rock Me! [G88F5024]From the clips I've found on Youtube I feel that this is possibly the worst anime I've ever seen, but I really need to get a copy now. There is one on ebay for 150 but a possible rotter is not worth the risk.

To me it's anything made after about 1994. To me anime ended with Evangelion.

just sat through the MAIDEN JAPAN BRD release of ToHeart 2 that was part of my own SENTAI FILMWORKS BLACK FRIDAY sale order , and, despite being a major fan of the characters themselves, at least the way they look, - - except for "Multi" of ToHeart 1, which is simply one of the greatest "Little Girl" characters in all of Anime, IMO - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multi_(To_Heart) - i'd have to say that TH2 fits squarely into "Worst Anime i've Ever Seen" territory. indeed, it was a great disappointment, with abysmal animation throughout, awful character relations, and a total F@$k it ending. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/To_Hearthttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/To_Heart_2TH1 was hardly perfect, but it looked and played out WAY better than TH2. further, there was Multi-chan's arc, which made up for it all. all in all, TH2 is most assuredly NOT recommended, even to a ToHeart fan. anyhow, me and my sister chose "Princess Tutu" next. Charmingly Quirky, with some hilarious-sounding VA work for the main character in Japanese. all in all, a pretty fine tonic so far, for washing the aggressively lackluster taste of TH2 out...

Most TV animation from the 50s and 60s was terrible, US and Japan. When Tezuka basically invented anime his main efforts were based around finding the best ways to economize, and similar even cheaper less artist-requisite methods were championed by Filmation. Anime got good though and Filmation never really did, but at one point in history it was just too expensive to do any decent animation for TV unless you were doing an ad for some rich corporation. Filmation would eventually build up such a library of references and recyclable cuts that they could basically make an entire new show with only one guy in the company who could even draw. He just had to draw a hat on that dude who’s frames were all rotoscoped 7 years earlier and voila, a new Lone Ranger show! When you talk to people who have worked at Filmation is like it’s evenly divided between people who respected the founder for giving them a break and those that’s think he’s a petty cheap jerk who never got any respect for his work because he had no respect for artists and the product can’t be good in that situation.
