Macross: (Do You Remember Love?): English Edition (1984) (Uncut) [TLL 2084] it's a pretty rare one, since they didn't release this on DVD in any cut in the USA. johan184 wrote: mikeystoyz wrote: Armitage 3 is in english. The Armitage III movie was released in Japanese theaters in English with Japanese subtitles. The Armitage III OAVs (from which the movie was culled together) were released in Japan with Japanese soundtrack only. The dub for the US release of the OAVs is also different from the movie dub.

Any particular reason why you wouldn't buy US-released anime LDs, which all have either subtitling or closed-captions, & sometimes dubbing as well? johan184 wrote: Imagine a box that could add extern subtitles for lds, of course you have to synch them but it would be gold worth. Imagine? I have one. It isn't easy to use, of course. Technically, I'm playing back a subtitle file on my laptop while playing back the movie on LD, & using an overlay generator to combine the two.

I actually tried searching for this kind of item, could you give me a link or name for this overlay generator ? Awsome, might save me some money becouse I was about to plug in my laserdisc into my comp. and then output it on the projector....

If you can feed in video to your computer, & subtitle it there, why would you need the overlay generator? I have a "Vine Micros Deltascan Pro GL" which I repaired after it failed, & might sell, as well as a "Coriogen Eclipse". Do an eBay search for "genlock", perhaps — that is what they were often called in the anime fansubbing community.

Becouse I tried a cheap video capture-card for this first and the quality loss was way to much to be acceptable =) But I have been thinking of looking up a better card.

Actually, some quite cheap ones will work fine. You just have to be careful to find a card without hardware encoding. No good can come of turning the LD video into an MPEG stream on its way from the capture card to your video output.

johan184 wrote: Do you have any newer card you can recomend ? Sorry, no. My current PC build is several years old, & I am looking to replace it sometime in the coming year. At that time I will probably buy a Blackmagic Intensity Pro video-capture card, which handles HD resolutions as well as NTSC, but that is a $200 item, & requires a fast system.
