I haven't seen the Rebuild of Evangelion films yet as I want to wait for the last one 3.0+1.0 to be released so I can binge watch through them all but are these films a version of Evangelion that's easier to understand?

I remember talking to people who had seen the TV series and said that they didn't get it. From what I understand RoE is meant to be more accessible to non-fans than the original TV series and films were.

Does that mean it'll be easier to understand?

Honestly I think it depends on the person though Rebuild might be more accessible but some stuff still doesn't make much sense like all of it. I think though I haven't finished the manga that might be the easiest to understand though that is just based off of Anno's story.

You really need to stay away from this one, if you can't get Akira then this is just a waste of time.
I feel they started on a path but then went on another to then go to a fake cheap ending.

The only part that sticks in my mind was
[Reveal] Spoiler:
the episode when the evangelion was eating the angel.

I was lucky to pickup a cheap bootleg DVD watch it and then flip it fast for cheap.

And I really do wish I totally listened to signofzeta on this one.

I’m so glad I always hated this show. If Gunbuster or Royal Space Force were endlessly remade for decades I’d puke.

If you don’t “get it” yet, it ain’t happening! You probably already got it ages ago are are looking for more because of how overrated this show continues to be. There likely isn’t more, even the 4K one with another act added into it.*

If it’s so great, why does it need constant work?

* it doesn’t exist, I made it up, don’t go looking for it.
