Why would you want subtitles on something in English?

Are you asking me? I'm just wondering if there is any localization.

We are finally seeing some movement on all this.

Kickstarter for Macross II: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/madoverlord/macross-ii-lovers-again-alus-edition

Macross Zero is also seeing a Japanese BD release that has English subtitles. It is available to be pre-ordered at all the usual places that export. I went with amiami. Releases in February.

I thought about going for the Macross II BR because some of the cuts are pretty rad but…nah. I’ll save my money for 7…even though we’ll probably have to buy the entire dang thing to get the good part (Dynamite).

When are they releasing 7? I'll have to speed up my watching of the LDs and sell them off now.

I’m just assuming someone will eventually put it out.

Nozomi Ent has the license for that so we will see it at some point.

I did back Macross II. It's not great but I still wanted to pick it up. Animeigo will have another kickstarter in a few months. This will be the first time they have two KS releases in the pipeline at once I think.

Disney buying the streaming rights has no bearing on whether another company buys the physical rights.

I own 100% unlimited, unedited, un-deletable watch rights because I possess an LD box set..I give ZERO F's what DEIsney has "rights" to. Are Disney going to come over to my hovel and demand I pay them to watch my LDs? I'd love to see them try. ha.
