MSB LS-1 GoldIn nice optical condition. Only minor scratches on the top. Powers up. Drawer opens/closes. CD only spins once in a while (not consistent; seems to spin more when cold?). With top removed, looks VERY clean inside. I am currently trying to get help/ideas/pointers how to troubleshoot and/or potentially repair. But at this moment, offered AS IS. Happy to take more photos if desired. Also have a video showing the drawer opening (can't upload here due to file size limitations). Also have full size photos (again, here on 500k photos allowed). Obviously, this is a MONSTER. Official weight I think is 80 lbs. So shipping will be expansive. Open to serious offers. Location is Brighton, Michigan, USA

It’s a player I’d like to have but I’d rather buy it working from one of the Michigan repair people rather than broken from you. The LD repair person would be earning his markup… Got snagged within 1 hour when listed on ebay. Guy has/had several. $580 shipped.

Quite far from the $650 on US Audio Mart. What's left after eBay fees, including fees on sales tax and shipping, $170? Julien

No, it was $280 for the unit. The rest was S&H&P, which included shipping itself, packaging (my labor/time), packaging material allowance, and handling (including but not limited to fees, time, effort, etc). The market value of the unit is very simple to determine: Buyer determined this particular unit is worth $580. Since the buyer is experienced (he has and had several of them), I trust he knows what he is doing (and has a good 'grip' on market reality, i.e. he is no 'forum know it all' on this subject. I suspect he knows exactly what is wrong (based on the videos I sent), and will have it running with little effort (guessing on my part). admin wrote: kraftwerkturbo wrote: signofzeta wrote: I’d concentrate on trying to sell this to a LD repair person rather than trying to somehow find some fool to pay real money for it with only a vague hope of being able to repair it some day. hopscotching wrote: Always fun to see yourself being talked about. I purchased the player, the price was right, and i am more than happy to pay for someone to pack things correctly. Not to mention how rarely these come up, and yes he got an amazing deal when he purchased it!
Send message or update/post here if/when you found out what it needed to run (audio CD). Wish I had the skill/knowledge to get this running and add as audio transport into my system.

Yeah, if you can actually fix these Panasonic players please post, I had one years ago that had some hiccups but nobody would even respond on how to adjust or where to start, was told they didn't have pots for adjustments but only dip switches and people only guessed on how to fix them.
