True, Robert Fripp seems to release a new "remastered" edition every 2~3 years or so of every King Crimson albums. So much that it starts to look like a retirement pension fund to me. But the recent CD (stereo) + DVD-Audio (Lossless 5.1) are truly adding to the experience of albums I already know by heart.

I'm slowly getting them all, 8 released so far, 10 supposed to be released in total:

After all, they have given so much to the world .............

Missed them twice in Tokyo (tickets would sell out within minutes) but eventually caught them in Paris for the "Power to Believe Tour" on July 2003.

They almost cancelled the show because someone took a picture with flash at the beginning.

Tight security services but when the (peaceful) crowd got up and close to the stage for RED as a token of appreciation, Fripp told the guards it was okay.
We just wanted to see them playing up-close and we did!

Caught that same tour in 2003 on their Phoenix stop over.
Very personal venue with epic sound quality.
Could have cried it was so great to be at.
My buddy captured the "magic" on a DAT recorder.
He had the two mic's tucked into his hat on both sides.
Very memorable performance...... they even played "dinosaur" ......
Thanks for the thread, (and pics) brought back some good memories !

But I'm not going to miss them this time around in Paris!

It turns out the last concert I went to see them was Tokyo December, 8th 2021.

And this came to be the last and final concert from the band considering itself to be King Crimson.

And the last song will be ... STARLESS



A fitting conclusion for an awesome band who kept experimenting with everything they could and changed 20th century music.




Now... King Crimson is retired but... BEAT lives!
