Hiromi is talented beyond my wildest dreams, with the inspiration of Chick Corea, the energy of John McLaughlin and the precision of Oscar Peterson. Luckily the first TELARC albums were all released in SACD 5.1 dual-layer:
And the following 3 albums on SACD 2.0 single-layer (Japan only) with Universal Japan:
The Stanley Clarke Band 2010 album with Hiromi also got the SACD 2.0 single-layer (Japan only) re-release in the same series:
If you don't know her already, give it a try! I saw her live solo in Paris in 2012 and she was impressive. Sadly no more Hiromi SACDs, the 2 most recent releases (2014 and 2016) had at best SHM-CD releases: :-/ Julien |

And the SACDs are back again
Recorded at the Skywalker Sound studio. Pretty awesome. Hiromi is a Master Jedi of the jazz piano! I love how she intertwine George Gershwin, John Coltrane and Pete Townshend in Rhapsody In Various Shades Of Blue. Julien |
