Don't worry about translation. --------------------------------------------------------- Yes That's it I am not good at English. I'm sorry These articles are very fun to understand wrap up MUSE of X 0 is more than HLD-1000 Different dimensions of quality Reproducibility of minute signal, freshness of color , Intonation of dynamic gradation The sharpness of focus is the best X0 also improves sound quality Compared to X1, the amount of information of sonority increases, overwhelming presence

Just made up my mind and decided to give this HLD-X0 a chance: https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/w361181092Attachment:

I'll be joining the X0 club soon! Only took my 20 years since I got a LD-S9 directly from Nicolas Santini's hands in Tokyo. Since I have a few duplicates and changing inputs on a Radiance is easy, I'll try to make a X9/X0 comparison on discs I have twice (like Dolby Digital Experience or Silence of the Lambs MUSE). Julien

substance wrote: Julien, welcome to the club. Happy to report that after a few P5 errors on MUSE discs, the X0 now plays everything smoothly (it's so quiet!) and as expected. All I did to make the P5 disappear is letting the player go through CAV/CLV discs entirely to make the parts inside (belts, rubber, grease) get to move again as expected after years of storage. Had the same behavior when getting my S9 and X9 out of storage: P5, U1, clamping somehow getting stuck halfway before giving up and ejecting. Just played around for a while (open/close, play/stop/Side B/A/B/A, etc.) and eventually the mechanics will revert to their normal selves. The insurance company was glad I didn't have to purchase replacement units for both in the end. Julien

jd213 wrote: I wouldn't feel comfortable buying something that expensive from a seller with a feedback rating of 9 . That was also a concern but I asked questions via the Q/A and got quick, precise answers. Seller also successfully sold a LD-X1 in the same condition not long ago. Haven't seen a full set sold on YAJ in a while. Last complete/mint one sold for JPY 368K but it included a MSC-4000 and 2 demo discs. Complete but with few scratches went for JPY 260K. Mint but missing remote/box/etc. went for JPY 232K. Even a Frankenstein'ed one (wood panel, remade plates, no accessories, not tested) went for JPY 198K. Everything selling below (JPY 50K~150K) was either junk (malfunction), untested, scratched, no remote/box. The usual A/V used shops (AVAC, Audio Union, Hifido, Afroaudio, Rakuten, Amazon Japan) are all out of X0s for months, sold in various states from 180K to 273K. None on Mercari or YAJ right now. My conclusion was that 200K~250K was the current market range. I tried 200K. If he put the remote control, manual and box on the pictures he might have gotten a higher price for it. Also titled "HLD-XO" instead of "HLD-X0", might have helped escaping exact searches. Shipped from Osaka (42Kg, $28 for a 24-hour delivery!), it was too far to go and check! Julien
