PROS: Built like a tank and common to find. RS-232C Serial Port for computer interface. Plays Discovision really well. Fairly Quiet Operation.
CONS: Analog sound only. Can't play GM discs (Everyone disc that I've tried, It tried to read it then timed out.) Single Side Play. No function to enable CX on analog titles with out the Auto-CX code.
CONCLUSION: I've had this player for years and it has never skipped a beat when it comes to reading discs, it'll spin up what ever disc I put in it, but it just can't read the GM discs, but many players can't either and the lack of digital sound may turn off some people. If you can find it for cheap I recommend it as a backup player or a first player for someone curious about the format. I'd even recommend it to people who mostly have titles with analog sound only
