Need help with my Iscan Duo.
Playing a 4:3 letterboxed disc,
If i input S-video out in from my R7G it assumes it is widescreen it seems.
I can manually select input is 4:3 but then its locks it as a 4:3 image but unable to zoom/scale up to my Widescreen.

But if i go via my Retrotink to the IScan everything is fine and i can just go preset scale to 4:3 letterboxed and it scales up correctly and nicely.

S-video, it just ignores scaling. I can have just basic 4:3 or stretched up 16:9.

Via Retrotink everything works just fine, can simply go preset '4:3 letterboxed' and it scales up nicely.

So played some more like a crazy person putting markers on and around screen  and it seems via s-video it just forces to to scale from 4:3 letterbox automatically correctly .

Were as from retrotink i have to tell it to do so.

Unless this looks stretched to anyone i think im good  ignore the cheap phone taking photo of a TV
Now to fiddle with R7G settings and IScan settings...

Hi Jake; its a while since I had my DVDO VP50 so memory is a tad rusty, but I notice from the pics you had PReP mode engaged when inputting via Retrotink but off when direct from LD player - did you try toggling this setting on both inputs? Teddanson may hopefully be able to better assist here when he sees the thread

Hmm that's odd I don't recall the VP50 Pro locking in AR in this way. I don't have it hooked up at the minute as I'm waiting on a cable to help me upgrade the firmware (see if I can fix that audio bug). When I get the VP50 Pro up and running again I'll try and replicate the issue and see if I can help. I'm not too good at this stuff though so someone else here may be far more knowledgeable.

Laserfanhld i believe the PreP technology can only be used for P/Progressive signals.
