Hi everyone,

A few months ago, I decided to get my LD player out of the attic. Then I remembered I had this dead Crystalio II scaler in the attic too. I opened it several times, tried to clean the power supply and found out today why it is not working anymore

Ouch! That looks like its toast. Get a new PS. This one was recommended to me but I didn't like the reviews of people saying it ran hot or caught fire or was wired incorrectly.

I'm sorry but I can't find a link to the one I did purchase.

Since my PS wasn't as far gone as yours it only required a cleaning for now. I also have removed the HDD since it seems to stress the PS more and creates more heat.

All the best with your repair, if I can help I will but other than replacing the components with equivalent parts you should really just buy a new PS and follow the wiring in the threat that was posted.
