The Edge has no aspect ratio control, which is a MUST if you are going to display a 4:3 letterboxed LD on your 16:9 display correctly.

also in a video review i saw, they say it can do both aspect ratio controls, and per pixel zooming, so not sure what you are talking about? =)
check the video, and go to time code: 4:00 -- pretty much shows you the aspect ratio control
