On the LD player that I have now, I usually set all the Noise Reduction settings to 0 to prevent smearing (although ones like YNR and CNR don't end up making much of a difference since I don't use S-video). I set the Y/C filter to 8 since, according to the manual, setting it to max improves the cross-color with low-movement images. And for the Sharpness, I put it somewhere between 0-4. Would this be the best setting for optimal PQ, or does something like this vary between discs? |

It varies between disc, display, and user. That’s why it’s adjustable. There is no “best.” |
