I didn't know they were also sold separately by Imagenics.

From the description, it claims that it's the circuitry used in the LD-S9 and HLD-X9:

It exists several external filters. You also have this one called パワースタビライザー3DWPro which is supposed to be decent.

Sad thing is, if you want to use one of these on a newer display, you'd still need another piece of equipment to connect it since S-Video is being phased out if it hasn't already been.

Well, most new TVs have the analog connections as a seperate dongle/breakout cable. Some have them in the box, others as an optional piece you need to purchase. Haven't seen a modern TV completely missing it yet.

I Just got one of these from Japan awaiting it now. Neither my projector or receiver has s-video input. the plan is to use this with a DVDO in the future. Meanwhile I'll have to run It through a CRT tv with s-video

Did your 3DWPro ever arrive? How's it working? Any noticeable difference?

It arrived today. Uhm yea. Not very overwhelmed. I’ll do proper comparisons later it’s less rainbow effects with the comb filter turned on.
I used a pioneer Dvd-r as a comb filter before with a much better effect.
The thing is I don’t watch snell and Wilcox patterns that often, I prefer movies. :) question is if it has any effect while watching actual films

My main problem with my dvd-r is that it cropped the image on the sides slightly.

I’ll report back in a few days!

 Thank you.
I can't understand how many people just want to see that SW pattern in such great detail.

Please keep us posted on how this unit works.

I did some tests yesterday with some films and my CLD D504 has a better s-video output than this piece of junk...
It's only redeeming feature is I can fast forward and play around as much as possible without the DVDO getting confused and showing a black image. My Projector is quite slow when it looses HDMI signal and it takes 14 seconds for the image to be shown again.

Today I'm going to try my DVDR and see how the s-video output looks from the DVD-r I used to use it as a scaler/comb filter before but it crops the image too much, it could be that it doesn't do that when I use s-video output fingers crossed

https://www.dropbox.com/s/rfaxjz1oa17k7 ... p.mov?dl=0 (this is my cld 925 to my DVDR and later my Marantz AVR ) as you can se the cropping is unacceptable.

I knew I couldn't be the only person getting this problem, though it's my AV receiver that gets confused. Whenever I've mentioned it before no one else seems to have had a similar problem. Do you get it on side change too?

I think it happened yesterday when a side change came up. If this will reoccur for all side changes it will really hamper the enjoyment of watching discs if I need to push pause and then play when the projector wakes up again.
