I have a question Pioneer LD-V1000 Is it possible to play LD movies? I looked it up on the Web It's like Dragon Slayer I knew it was installed in the arcade housing. Is this for games only? Also, is it possible to play the game disc with a laser active active disc?

Well looking at the laserdiscarchive page, you could probably sort of watch a movie on it...provided it's in CAV and has analog audio. And you hook it up to a computer. Or have the service remote and good luck finding one of those. Apparently there is a Japanese variant, LD-V1001. Pretty sure LaserActive is it's own thing entirely and won't work with anything except the CLD-A100. In other words...unless you plan on building an arcade cabinet with a control board to play Dragon's Lair and it's ilk on the original hardware, you'll be better off buying something else. |

Thank you for your reply Finding arcade discs is difficult in Japan Even if you find it is very expensive Because in Japan LD arcade has been replaced by ROM for a short period of time I will challenge if I can purchase LD-V1000 or 1001 cheaply if I can play movies |

I I bought LD-V 1000 It was like a brand new storage condition It was almost purchase for $ 20 shipping cost Contents LD-V1000 main unit Interstellar (Arcade LD) Self-made controller They performed perfectly I will save it as a document Behavior 1.CAV movie software 2.Arcade LD ※ CLV can not be played I have no plan to do Arcade LD Self-made controller is wonderful Full access to the main body

No I can not make it It is the former owner The game can not be operated However I am glad to be able to play LD this is skip scan Frame call It does not differ from normal controllers such as  in Japan LD collection is not culturally flourishing Everyone buys a new product, and throws away the old one It is extremely rare to find such items in Japan However Because it will not be contested I can buy it cheaply |

It's a pity the LD-V1000 can't play CLV, since it's CAV playing quality can be excellent. (wondras did some RF samples and got amazing SNR off it) |

I always thought that any player could always play both CAV and CLV but not being able to do trick play on CLV. |

That controller is actually kind of impressive. Somebody must've really wanted to just watch movies on that thing

Somebody must've really wanted to just watch movies on that thing Yes Really functional It is made over time  Also, of game software That Interstellar was in I am happy (as a document) I got it on almost a shipping fee Software price is between $ 100 and 500 The main body is LD-V1000 (120 V) It is American specification, but it is not evident that it was exported Japan is 100 V but 120 V can be moved |
