Post subject:  Algolith Mosquito, Missing Remote. What do I do?

Hey guys,

First post! I recently purchased an Algolith Mosquito, but it doesn't have a remote and from what I understand, all functions are on it. Does anyone know if there's a universal remote that works with one, or if I even need one? Just plug and play? Help! Thanks

Harmony has codes for it and you can't do anything without the remote, it is essential for operation.

Cool, thanks! Is there a website with that information on it? I'm pretty new to this

SO that's what I get when I search. Is there a specific remote or hub I need? I'm not exactly sure how all this works! Thanks

It’s a brand of universal remote. You buy it, put codes into it, use it. If the device is supported then then you’re good. I don’t know what else to say. I suppose you could email them to verify that your specific device works.

Thanks! I think i'll purchase this. The codes are also somewhere on the harmony website?

edit: I figured it out. Thinking about a DVDO Duo to stick between the player and the mosquito. Can you still scale with the duo even tho you have the mosquito after it?

Yes but the Mosquito will only accept up to 1080p/24 and works best @ 480p so most of us use two video processors with the Mosquito between.

Mine goes Crystalio II 480p -> Mosquito -> Lumagen XE 3D 1080p -> Display
