I got it mounted fine. I have been having a heck of a time getting the image dialed in. It always seems to look blurry no matter what I do.

May be best off checking on Curt Palme. http://www.curtpalme.com/ Haven't been on the site in years but do see they have a forum, if you can't find anybody I'm sure you can figure how to adjust yourself?? Should be fairly easy once you get the understanding down, or at least that's how it looked when I was considering buying a CRT projector. |

I have to agree with this; after being taught the basics I was able to maintain my first CRT a Seleco/SIM2 310 to perform quite acceptably with regards to convergence adjustment etc. although great care (and patience) is needed when prodding around under the hood making these adjustments as there are some serious voltages (25k upwards) present in this sort of kit, my second CRT a Seleco SVP400HT was somewhat more advanced with a digital chassis and all necessary adjustments could be made using the service remote with no need to venture under the hood except for perhaps lens adjustment which once set shouldn’t need to be touched again unless the pj has been moved. |

Yeah, I remember if you wanted to do your ceiling you needed to reinforce with some type of beam. When I was thinking of getting one I was going to do the coffee table style to cover it but then decided for some reason on a DLP and was happy with the results but haven't actually used it in over 5 years. Need to dust that sucker off and get it running again. |

I'm going to mount it next week. I have the factory mount that I'll bolt into unistrut, which is, in turn, bolted into the ceiling beams with lag bolts. The whole thing is giving me grey hair. After that, I'll try to get the whole thing calibrated, and then I'll decide if I want to spend any money on a scaler. |

I sort of remember reading about some type of test screen that you can get from the internal, have you done that?? I know its not easy but worth it after its all done, wish I had one but then again I've been happy with my DLP which is decent for price. |

Yeah, there are several test patterns for the various settings. I have gone over the manual and the Curt Palme startup guide ad nauseam. The forums over there are not helpful. Everyone just accuses you of not reading the manual and offers zero advice. I think the basic concept is you start with green only lit up get it straight and centered where you want it then add blue and line up with green then add red and line up with both. The concept is simple but it can be very difficult to do until you get the hang of it. The other thing I remember is you can set it up for widescreen if you want, it will just use a rectangular portion of the lenses instead of a square. I am going to be in Austin this Friday - Sunday and probably have some time on Friday if you want a second set of eyes (I am not an expert but I have done it before). PM me if you are interested. I remember the picture looking amazing -
