I was wondering about selling prices for the Radiance 2144?

as I'm only interested in the 3D comb filter solution inside it, I'm
hesitant to buy one for a high price.

Hard to say because they rarely show up, haven't seen one on eBay for a loooooooong time.

Google finds traces of one unit on eBay in 2018 selling for $1,600, nothing after that.

hope the Kramer unit I just bought and is bound to arrive in the next week will make it easier for the decision to buy one just for this.

About $3,000 on the used market. There is a wait list on Lumagen. Before the wait list, the price was $3,500 for a refurbished unit. Jim said he is planning to increase it due to high demand and low supply.

It is a still valid and complete system which can process any source device except 4K (but can scale any source to 4K). It has world class processing in every step, not only in y/c separation. It is indeed very expensive but it is not the device’s fault but due to supply and demand (same true while in production as well).

What makes you say that? Is it the prices?

Just the fact that they have been discontinued a long time ago at Lumagen (2018) and unavailable from direct outlets.

Convergent looks more like a PR than an inventory status.
SolidSignal shows Availability: Discontinued now.

It is hard to predict its value now. It is still very difficult to find one but there are other alternatives.
