Post subject: | Little problem with HDMI sources |
Since I have the lumagen 2144, from maybe 1 year, I always have a little trouble with HDMI : Each time I start to watch a source in HDMI, I have a little black screen, after 5 or 10 min, during maybe 2 seconds. After that, no problem for all the time I let the lumagen ON... I temporary resolved the problem by putting ON the lumagen and the HDMI source 15 or 20 before playing or watching a movie. But if someon knows where it come from... It appends with any HDMI source and any display OUT (TV, PC screen, projector...) |

Try playing with the genlock on the Lumagen. Also switch your cables to 1-2 meters. Lumagen (and most other brands) typically don’t like cables shorter than 1 meter. try these and report here. We will go from there. |

OK. After 1 week of trying, it seems that genlock has no effect on this issue. But ! After some other tries, it seem that turning ON the lumagen AFTER the conected devices has benefit effect ! After trying that 3 days, I didn't get black screen durinf these days. Then for now, 1. I turn ON my playstation 2. I turn ON my screen 3. I turn ON the lumagen I will continue it, then see if the effect is good on the long term. |

Today, I had a little tiny cut of 1ms during my game. Then it seems that turning ON HDMI devices before turning ON lumagen give better results (just one micro cut in one week of use), but there is still something... |

That's weird, I never have any drops/freeze (2 composites, 2 RGBs, 2 HDMIs), could it be the source who generates a weak signal? Julien |

It happens on any display, but only for HDCP sources apparently... (DVD player, PS3, PS4) I don't use DVD player on it anymore as my Cambridge is displaying 4K natively. I never asked the compagny for support, since I use it mainly for LDs (without issue), and it's quite hard to test (it happend's only every 2 or 3 days, and only once during the 1st hour of playing). I would like to understand the origin of this someday though ! |

So you're seeing the same issue with both PS3 and PS4? |
