Hi. My laser just keep slaming forward instead of stopping. E3 error. When i pulled the pickup up a tiny plastic arm fell down. Im guessing it came from the limit switch?

Ive noticed some say some other players got the same. I only have a broken cld-d515, cant see any similar on that?

I also have an dvl-9, same thing there. Also got 1 cld-1030 and 1080, which i havent chexked on. Does anyone know exactly which models got the same limit switch?

Problem is, in sweden pretty much all models are rare. Does anyone in EU happen to have one for sale?

I would be so greatful for some help here.

/Johan

If the arm that fell down in the one that is on the pickup, that is the switch for reaching side B limit. The switch for side A is on the lower metal base of the mechanical assembly. They are the same switch just mounted differently at different places. These are used every unit Pioneer built starting with the CLD-D503 and D703, (meaning also D604,D505,D605,D406,D606,D704,59,79,99;DVL-90,91,700,909,919 and all the Japanese and European equivalents). The company that made these for Pioneer does not sell that configuration anymore or maybe never to the public so you have to get them from used parts players.

Forgot to add, the CLD-D515 will have two of these switches on the lower metal base for the mechanical assembly. It will not have one on the laser assembly as the side B position switch is on the upper plate but it has a different configuration.

Thanks Kurtis. My pickup keep hitting the spindle, I just asumed it was becouse of that broken switch. maybe it might be some other issue at the same time, if the broken one is for the b side ?

Anyway. I took a look on my D515, but I couldnt see anything near the broken switch. Cant say that I saw it on the service manual either. Saw 2 kind of switches on the bottom base, see picture. But those arent the same ?

Mine: It is broken, I just tried to put in the broken arm again :)

Your correct, I wasn't thinking clearly. You need to stick with the CLD-D503/D703/D704/79/99 for a LD-S9 switch

Thanks Kurtis. That makes more sense. Those look more like mine on the inside. I will see if something shows up here in Sweden. :) Thanks for the help!

Did anyone find additional information on the micro switch? Part number, source, anything?

I also have a broken one and really don't want to sacrifice another player for a part worth a few cents.

Seems to be a Limit SW [OSH1001] from the SM.

Google only find services manuals, no part.
