hi i'm new here, and am just getting into LD for the first time, and am working on my first player that i just recently bought, which has a broken Mholder. i have looked around a lot, and have found a lot of topics discussing mholder diagnosis, and has even seen a couple mentions of projects working on replicating them, but i haven"t found anything recent about it being successful or offering them to those in need. so i" hoping someone might have an update on the people that were working on reproducing them. or maybe someone has one they could spare to sell me? thanks. |

You'd have to provide the player model and lookup which M-Holder is compatible for your player first. https://manuals.lddb.com/LD_Players/ Julien |

They are all compatible with each other, but you want the black VNL1779. I have one I found on my workbench but can't find the pins. I should be getting an epsilon turn parts unit in this week where I'm sure the M-Holder is wrecked. Will PM once I pull it. |

I have been able to locate a whole carrier assembly with the mholder out of a dvl series machine. It looks very similar, but the manual for the 919 shows part number vnl1717. Does anyone know if this one is also interchangeable as well? |

The "4" in the SM is referring to the lists below it (DVD/CLD Carriage Assembly) VNL1779. |

When you get it, do the least amount of disassembly necessary. Avoid taking the top plate (VNE2062) off unless you have an oscilliscope. |
