OK, I'm stumped. I have two open-top players that are doing the exact same thing. LD-V1000 and PR-8210. With the bottom open and the casing removed from the pickup assembly, if you push play, you can see the laser come on when looking at the tube, but there is no beam coming out the end It's almost as if there is a beam shutter, but these players don't have one. Anyone ever run across this issue? Blaine |

I was thinking along the same lines, but there isn't a beam coming out of the end of the laser tube. If i put a piece of paper in front of the laser tube, I should see the red spot. |
